What training in Belarus hides: ‘unusual’ equipment on the ‘battlefield’

What can be the real goal of training in Belarus.

Currently, the command and staff exercises of the country’s armed forces are ongoing in Belarus, which began on September 8 and should end on September 14. During these exercises, the Belarusian army practices, in particular, ‘conducting combat operations to liberate territory temporarily occupied by the enemy.’

These exercises are unlikely to directly threaten Ukraine, since currently no strike group has been formed on the territory of Belarus, however, researchers from ‘Belarusian Gayun’ drew attention to the ‘unusual military equipment’ used in the exercises, which hints at the real purpose of this event.

So, for example, at the exercises, you could see BM-21 ‘Grad’ anti-aircraft guns without car numbers, although usually old Soviet or modern numbers are used on such cars. In addition, the ZSU-23-4 ‘Shilka’ self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (without a serial number) was spotted, although, according to the report, the more modern ‘Tunguska’ is used by the troops. Also, the Bogatyr armored car (Chinese DongFeng Mengshi EQ2050) with a 12.7-mm DShKM machine gun ‘lit up’ at the exercises, although previously there was no information in open sources about installing this machine gun on an armored car.

A simple conclusion that can be drawn from all this, according to ‘Belarusian Gayun’: one of the real tasks of these exercises may be to check the equipment removed from storage in a training and combat environment.
