Wolfram ATGM created for the Ukrainian army to be mass-produced

MBDA UK, which specializes in the production of missile weapons, has agreed with Supacat, a manufacturer of modular vehicles, to implement a joint project. The partners intend to launch mass production of self-propelled ATGMs.

The Wolfram system was developed specifically for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is used to launch Brimstone missiles. The launcher of the complex is mounted on the HMT 600 chassis manufactured by Supacat.

The British Army will receive new ATGMs for firing tests next year. They will be used by anti-tank platoons of infantry battalions.

Supacat is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of modular structures. The launcher with eight Brimstone 2 missiles can be mounted on 4×4 and 6×6 chassis.

The UK included Brimstone missiles in one of its defense support packages. To launch them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used home-made launchers mounted in a car body. In fact, these were civilian vehicles with aircraft launchers for three missiles.

Last summer, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces secretly received several Wolfram ATGMs. It is possible that they were transferred for testing in real combat conditions.
