As noted by the Russian Emergencies Ministry, rescuers on snowmobiles and hovercraft have already inspected the waters of Lake Onega near the village of Derevyane, Prionese district.
The work involved 33 units of equipment and more than 140 people. Among them are divers of the center for high-risk rescue operations with a diving depth of 60 meters. For underwater work, the Falcon ROV will be used, which can dive to a depth of 300 meters.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry added that the Mi-8 helicopter was flown by an experienced crew with thousands of flight hours.
During their work at the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the crew has been repeatedly involved in search and rescue of people in forests and water areas, extinguishing natural and man-made fires, the agency emphasized.
