Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 26 Iranian Shahed drones and an enemy helicopter yesterday. This was reported by the press service of the Air Force on July 11.

On Tuesday night, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine from the southeast (Prymorsko-Akhtarsk) using kamikaze drones. A total of 28 Shahed-136/131s were used, of which 26 were eliminated by air defense forces.

“As a result of successful combat operations in the area of responsibility of the South and Center Air Commands, the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces, destroyed 26 attack UAVs and one Zala reconnaissance drone,” the statement said.

On July 10, the Air Force also managed to shoot down an enemy helicopter, but the command is still clarifying what type. In addition, three Lancet strike UAVs and four tactical reconnaissance drones were destroyed.

In total, over 20 group air strikes were carried out by the Air Force aviation against the positions of the Russian occupiers over the last day.

Attack on Kyiv and Odesa: what we know

The Kyiv City Military Administration noted that the enemy had launched Iranian-made kamikaze drones at the capital for the second time in a month, but without success. Air defense forces detected the targets and destroyed them. The debris damaged windows in the houses of local residents and a fire was reported, but there were no casualties.

Hostile UAVs were also spotted in Odesa region. Loud explosions followed the air raid alert. The head of the JFO, Oleh Kiper, noted that a total of 22 Shakhtys were destroyed in this area, and two more hit the administrative building of a port facility. There were no injuries or casualties as a result of the attack.
