92nd Brigade destroys Russian Arrow SAM using FPV drone near Bakhmut (video)

After a successful UAV strike, the Russian Arrow-10 missile system stopped functioning, and thick black smoke rose into the sky.

The Achilles attack aircraft company of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after A.A. Kuznetsov. Ivan Sirko was hit by a Russian Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system in the Bakhmut sector. The company commander, Yuriy Fedorenko, wrote about this in his Telegram.

“Bakhmut: “Achilles’ men destroyed Strela-10,” said Yuriy Fedorenko.


He noted that the Russian anti-aircraft missile system “Strela-10” was destroyed using an FPV drone. Ukrainian soldiers also eliminated two Russian servicemen.

The video shows a Ukrainian drone moving toward its target and killing two Russian soldiers who were walking near their positions. The soldiers also showed how the drone hit a Russian Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system, after which an explosion occurred and thick black smoke rose into the sky.

Strela-10: what is known

Yuriy Fedorenko emphasized that this system is designed for visual surveillance and destruction of air targets at low altitudes. We are talking about airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, the Strela-10 is armed with 4 x 3KR 9M37, a 7.62 mm machine gun, and a crew of three. The range of the SAM is up to five kilometers.

“The Arrow-10 is designed for use by ground forces. The system detects airborne targets using an optoelectronic system and destroys them with missiles. The Strelka-10 is based on an MT-LB combat vehicle with a tracked chassis. On top is the launcher, which houses four 9M37 anti-aircraft guided missiles, the same number is stored in the combat compartment.
