Ukrainian Armed Forces show rare footage of Stormer SAM preparation for combat (video)
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have shown how they equip the rare Stormer air defense system with Starstreak missiles.
Such ammunition is multi-purpose, but its main task is to defeat enemy helicopters and low-flying aircraft at speeds up to Mach 3.5.
Stormer is a modern military armored vehicle manufactured by the British company Alvis Vickers.
Like most modern IFVs, it can be produced in several different configurations on the battlefield. Additional equipment includes nuclear, biological and chemical protection, an amphibious kit, passive night vision equipment, and an air conditioning system.
Ukraine has received 6 of these Stormer systems.
