What is known about the storm in Crimea
On November 26, the temporarily occupied Crimea was hit by a severe weather storm. The media have already dubbed the storm in the Black Sea the worst in 100 years, and the invaders report the first casualty.
The so-called “head of Crimea” Sergey Aksyonov said that 425,000 people in Crimea are without electricity due to the bad weather.
Chornomorsky, Saky, Belogorsk, Simferopol, Oktyabrsky, Bakhchisaray and Leninsky districts of the peninsula were the most affected.
The sea water also washed away the trenches of the Russian occupiers on the coast in Yevpatoriya. At the same time, according to the Institute for the Study of War, the storm in Crimea affected the pace of the war in Ukraine, but did not stop the fighting completely.
