The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed the most exotic rocket S-8P in a “greeting” for racists

S-8P is a special unguided missile designed to combat enemy air defense systems

The use of army aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involves not only “bombarding” the enemy with unguided missiles, but also much more complex combinations.

In particular, a video with “congratulations” to the enemy on St. Nicholas Day from the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after M. Kuznetsov. Viktor Pavlenko’s battalion was lit up by very exotic S-8P unguided missiles.

But the fact is that these shells are not meant to hit the enemy, but to create obstacles to the operation of radar stations. During detonation, these missiles scatter dipoles in the air – strips of metallized fiberglass that form lights on enemy radar screens. Each such missile creates a cloud of interference up to 500 cubic meters in volume in three seconds.

This already makes it possible to approach the enemy more safely, in particular during operations to destroy enemy air defense targets. This can be done not only by helicopters in the “second wave” but also by airplanes.

Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use a lot more tricks than it might seem at first glance, and are not limited to Western means such as the ADM-160 MALD decoys.

At the same time, the use of the S-8P has never been captured on film, and there are not even any high-quality photos of this unguided missile on the Internet.
