Ukrainian Armed Forces start using Ukrainian Cobra drones with a range of 300 km (video)

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the first Cobra attack drones made in Ukraine. Their flight range is 300 km. It takes only three hours to assemble one aircraft.

According to BuildingTech, the aircraft is equipped with a Ukrainian engine, propeller and electronics. The use of domestic components allowed the creators of Cobra to reduce the cost of assembly and eliminate logistics risks. In the short term, they plan to replace imported controllers, sensors, and navigation equipment with Ukrainian counterparts.

With a fuselage length of 2 meters, the drone has a 3-meter wingspan. Its takeoff weight is 40 kg, 15 kg of which is accounted for by the warhead with explosives. The drone can cover 300 km at a speed of 150 km/h.

Cobra has an autonomous mode of operation. When activated, the barrage munition will move in the direction of the target in accordance with the flight mission. The developers of the drone compare it to the Shahed-136. Unlike the Iranian kamikaze UAV, the production of the Ukrainian counterpart is cheaper (about 2,000 USD).
