ChatGPT will get a voice assistant function and may push Google Assistant.
Soon, ChatGPT may completely replace digital assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant due to its ability to listen and talk to the user.
The updated ChatGPT app dated December 21 contains lines of code that indicate that the chatbot has been transformed into an assistant. Apparently, it’s not quite ready, but it already gives an idea of what the future feature will look like.
When manually activated, the app can be launched from any screen like Google Assistant or Siri. It seems that there will be no trigger word to call the assistant.
When you interact with ChatGPT digital assistant, the screen displays an animation that you can see when you use the GPT Voice feature.
Earlier, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman predicted that in the future, users will simply tell computers about their needs, and they will perform the necessary tasks on their own. It seems that the new ChatGPT feature is a step towards realizing this vision.
OpenAI has not yet officially announced a new voice assistant feature in ChatGPT.
