The Ukrainian Armed Forces showed how HIMARS destroys enemy Tornado-G and Msta-S (video)
In the southern sector, the Special Operations Forces practiced using HIMARS to target Russian heavy equipment. In particular, the fighters destroyed a 2S19 Msta-S howitzer and severely damaged a Tornado-G multiple rocket launcher.
This was reported by the Command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Msta-S was destroyed by fire, Tornado-G was damaged and cannot be restored,” the press service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
It is noted that a camouflaged enemy 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S19 “Msta-S” and a multiple rocket launcher “Tornado-G” were discovered by the crew of the Bpak of the 73rd Marine Center of the SSO during reconnaissance.
The SSO soldiers accurately identified the coordinates of the enemy targets and directed HIMARS fire from the missile and artillery unit of the Defense Forces at them.
It should be noted that self-propelled artillery systems and multiple rocket launchers are designed to destroy equipment, including heavy weapons, manpower, destroy field fortifications, and prevent enemy maneuvers deep in the enemy’s defense.
