OpenAI launches GPT Store: a new store for selling and exchanging customized chatbots

The platform allows ChatGPT subscribers to publish their own specialized versions of chatbots, such as those that are better at math or offer original cocktail recipes.

OpenAI announced the opening of the GPT Store in November, eventually postponing the launch to December and then to January. Chatbots will be placed in the list at the beginning based on their popularity. Search by category will also be available.

OpenAI will recommend several new chatbots every week, and at the time of launch, the startup drew attention to Canva’s GPT, which helps people design logos, postcards, etc. Over the next 3 months, the startup promised to share details on how users will be able to earn money on their own versions of GPT – it will be based on “interaction”, but without specifics.

According to OpenAI, since the announcement of the GPT Builder program in November, users have created more than 3 million custom versions of GPT.

Currently, the platform is available to people who have subscribed to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise, as well as the new ChatGPT Team (the paid version is designed for teams of about 150 people).

ChatGPT Team offers access to GPT-4, DALL-E 3 and OpenAI’s Advanced Data Analysis feature, as well as data control. OpenAI says the team’s data and conversations will not be used to train any of its models. The cost of ChatGPT Team is $25 per month per user with an annual payment and $30 with a monthly payment.
