The Russian Navy suffered another loss in Crimea: the patrol ship Tarantul sank
On Thursday, January 18, the Atesh guerrilla movement reported that a Russian patrol ship of the Tarantul type sank in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
This is stated in the message of the military movement of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in the Telegram channel.
“During the reconnaissance of ships in Sevastopol, Atesh agents discovered a sunken border guard ship of the 205P project Tarantul. It is located at the pier of Grafskaya Bay at the following coordinates: 44.615763, 33.587110,” the post says.
The guerrillas assume that the ship was probably hit during an attack by naval drones on occupiers’ military facilities several weeks ago.
“Rashists have lost another important piece of weaponry in the Black Sea. We congratulate everyone on this. Gradually, we will expel the occupation army from the Ukrainian territories and restore justice,” the statement reads.
According to the underground, Russian invaders are preparing for battles near Yevpatoriya in Crimea. More engineering and fortification structures are being built in the area. In particular, firing points on construction sites, long-term firing points, secret positions and “dragon’s teeth” with wire are being built in Yevpatoriya district.
According to the Atesh movement, fortifications are being built around the city and its borders. Construction is underway along the shoreline of Lake Sasyk-Sivash south of Yevpatoriya, along the railroad and north of Yevpatoriya near the Donuzlav Bay.
