Star flight: SpaceX will deliver a space station built by Airbus and Voyager Space to orbit

Elon Musk’s SpaceX company with its Starship spacecraft has won a contract to launch the Starlab commercial space station built by European Airbus SE and American Voyager Space.

The amount of the new deal was not disclosed. The companies agreed to establish a joint venture to build an orbital station in August 2023.

According to the agency, although Starship is still under development, SpaceX has already signed a number of contracts with customers for when the spacecraft is ready for commercial operation.

“Tourists are already buying rocket rides around the moon, and NASA is working with SpaceX to turn Starship into a lunar rover that can take astronauts to the lunar surface,” Bloomberg writes.

Last March, Musk said that SpaceX would be ready to launch the Starship in April 2023. At the same time, he clarified that the launch time of the spacecraft will depend on the issuance of a license by the US Federal Aviation Administration.
