Video of the world’s first ad created entirely by artificial intelligence
The Dutch semiconductor leader ASML has unveiled a revolutionary “first commercial” entirely created by artificial intelligence. The video, titled “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants,” demonstrates the idea that the microprocessor industry and technological progress owe their development to the collective achievements of visionaries, as illustrated by a famous quote by Isaac Newton.
How was it created?
The ASML team used Midjourney models and RunwayAI algorithms with minimal human intervention in the editing process, demonstrating the huge potential of AI in the creative field, Channel 24 reports. The video not only showcases outstanding achievements in technological innovation, but also highlights the transformative impact of AI on various aspects of everyday life.
Interesting details
A particularly challenging scene in the video was the image of Newton with an apple in his hand, which required more than 20 attempts to achieve accuracy.
During the meticulous process, more than 9,800 personnel were created to achieve the desired result, which once again emphasizes the finesse and dedication put in by the operators.
A total of 1,963 replicas were used in the film, from which 7,852 images were created.
The digital images were carefully edited and rendered on more than 900 computers. RunwayAI algorithms then processed the resulting renders, resulting in 25,957 frames, each 1,000 MB in size.
