Dubai to host the world’s first international jetpack race (video)
Dubai has announced the world’s first jetpack competition to be held on February 28, 2024. This event will bring together eight pilots from around the world to compete in a new sport.
The event, which has been officially endorsed by the Dubai Sports Council and is being organized with the participation of Gravity Industries, a pioneer in jetpacks, aims to bring innovation to air sports. Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Head of the Dubai Sports Council, noted that the city is trying to move to a new level of development and innovation.
The race will take place on a specially designed safe track between Dubai Harbor and Skydive Dubai, coinciding with the Dubai Boat Show, a prestigious exhibition. Samer Al-Shammari, the competition director, promises that the jetpack race will give spectators unforgettable emotions and help popularize this new sport.
