Belarus has built dozens of hangars at one of the country’s largest tank storage facilities. This was reported by motolko help.

It is noted that in October 2022, Belarus handed over 211 pieces of military equipment to Russia, including 98 T-72A tanks. They were taken from the 969th tank reserve base in the urban village of Urichye, located in the Lubansky district of Minsk region. The base is one of the largest places to store an inviolable stock of various military equipment, but primarily tanks.

According to the monitoring group Belaruski Hayun, from 2017 to 2024, 25 hangars of various types were built on the territory of the 969th base, and all the equipment that was stored in the open air was moved under sheds.

According to public procurement, it turned out that only from 2022 to 2023, three sheds for 20 cars each were built on the territory of the above-mentioned base; a shed for storing automotive equipment for 48 cars each; two sheds for storing automotive equipment for 24 cars each, etc.

In 2022-2023 alone, at least six sheds for 156 vehicles were built on the territory of the tank reserve base.

In particular, hangars were constructed in 2022 and 2023 at the 1868th Artillery Armament Base (military unit 63604, Gomel), the 288th Automotive Reserve Base (military unit 48668, Stari Dorohy), and others.

Reportedly, the equipment of the inviolable reserve is accumulated in peacetime to ensure the mobilization deployment of troops. It is allowed to store equipment in storage facilities, under sheds, or equipped open areas.

There are the following categories of storage conditions for equipment: light (L) – in heated storage facilities; medium (M) – in unheated storage facilities; hard (H) – under a canopy; very hard (VH) – when forced to store in open areas.

It is noted that the equipment is moved under the sheds primarily to improve storage conditions. Another reason may be the greater secrecy of storage, since the possibility of recording changes in its quantity is almost completely excluded.

Earlier, we wrote that military cargo was delivered to Belarus by air from China.
