American billionaire Elon Musk has made a new scandalous statement about Ukraine. He believes that Ukraine’s accession to NATO could lead to a “nuclear apocalypse.” This is how he reacted to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s statement that Ukraine would become a member of the alliance.
Musk wrote about this on Twitter (X). He commented on a post from Blinken’s joint briefing with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, during which the State Department chief said that Ukraine “will become a NATO member.”
“This is how a movie about a nuclear apocalypse begins,” Musk said in his commentary.
In his comment, the Twitter owner also attached a link to an excerpt from the feature film The Day After (1983). It shows footage of a fictional nuclear war between the USSR and the United States.
Musk’s statements about the war in Ukraine
Recently, Elon Musk expressed his belief that Ukraine will lose even more territory if it does not negotiate with Vladimir Putin now. He believes that Odesa may also come under occupation.
Earlier, Musk said that Russian dictator Putin cannot afford to lose the war against Ukraine, and that US aid to Kyiv is only delaying it. Musk said that Putin was allegedly under pressure to bring his fight to an end. Otherwise, he would have been killed.
