SBU strikes 6 Russian aircraft at Morozovsk airfield

On the night of April 4-5, Ukrainian drones attacked the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region. At least 6 airplanes were destroyed there. Russian Defense Ministry claims to have destroyed 53 drones

This was stated by the Governor of the Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev.

According to Golubev, Russian air defense allegedly repelled a massive UAV attack on the Morozovsk district. We are talking about at least 40 drones. As a result, the power substation was damaged and there are problems with electricity.

The first explosions started around midnight. Locals report explosions, and drones allegedly attack the Morozovsk airfield. According to open sources, frontline bombers Su-24, Su-24M, and Su-34 are based here.

According to the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, a UAV was allegedly eliminated in Engels in the morning. However, according to preliminary data, there were no injuries or damage to infrastructure when the debris fell.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the night and morning of April 5, their air defense system allegedly intercepted and destroyed 44 UAVs over the territories of Rostov – 1 UAV, Saratov – 1 UAV, Kursk – 1 UAV and Belgorod – 1 UAV, as well as 6 UAVs over the territory of Krasnodar region.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda, Suspilne, and Hromadske, citing their own sources, Su-24, Su-24M, and Su-34 bombers were based at the Morozovsk airfield. They are the ones that Russia uses to drop the KABs on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and frontline Ukrainian cities.

“At least 6 Russian military aircraft were destroyed, and another 8 were heavily damaged. In addition to the equipment, about 20 Russian soldiers became “two hundredth” or “three hundredth,” the source said.

They added that “this is an important special operation that will significantly reduce the combat potential” of the Russian Federation.

On the evening of April 2, Russia claimed that its air defense system had allegedly shot down four drones over Kursk. After that, local telegram channels spread information about a large-scale fire outside the city.
