Satellite images of the strike on the aircraft plant in Borysoglebsk are published

Satellite images of the arrival at the 711th aircraft repair plant in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region, Russia, have been posted online.

The relevant images were published by the Schemes project.

Satellite images from April 9, 2024 show that the drone was aimed at one of the aircraft factory buildings.

As a result of the powerful explosion, the building’s roof and partially its walls collapsed, making the premises unusable.

It should be noted that the plant is located 300 km from the border with Ukraine and is used to repair both aircraft and aviation weapons of various classes.

On the night of April 9, 2024, the 711th aircraft repair plant was attacked by drones.

At the time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the attack was successfully repelled by air defense and that the consequences were minor.

But judging by the satellite images, the drones managed to get to the location and caused severe damage to one of the aircraft plant’s buildings.

As a reminder, since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has increasingly started to target oil refining infrastructure, military airfields, and aircraft plants whose products are used in the war against Ukraine.

On April 4, 2024, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a massive drone attack on the Morozovsk military airfield, where bombers that strike Ukraine are based.

The drone attack took place on the night of April 4-5. The first explosions occurred around midnight local time.

The governor of the Russian region, Vasily Golubev, said that the military airfield, located near the city of Morozovsk in Rostov region, was attacked by more than 40 attack drones.
