Stellantis introduces new hydrogen cars to the market

Stellantis Pro One begins deliveries of hydrogen vehicles. This event marks the beginning of the commercial era of hydrogen.

Stellantis is the most popular electric vehicle manufacturer in France, Italy, and Spain. Expanding the niche of “environmentally friendly” cars, the concern will offer hydrogen power plants.

In the coming months, Stellantis will supply a fleet of Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen to Hysetco, a French company and European leader in the use of hydrogen vehicles. Hydrogen vehicles will be available for professionals as part of Hysetco’s offer.

This agreement will include all related services such as service, maintenance and repair, insurance, vehicle replacement, paperwork, training, etc. In addition, these vehicles will be specially designed for passenger transportation (e.g., taxis and wheelchair shuttles), logistics, or other professional use (as commercial vehicles). This will be the most complete fleet of hydrogen-powered vehicles available for such purposes.

Xavier Peugeot, Director of the Stellantis Pro One business unit, comments: “By delivering another hydrogen vehicle, Stellantis Pro One once again demonstrates that we are supporting our professional customers in their transition to zero-emission transportation, thanks to the convincing results we have obtained in early 2024. We are the first manufacturer in the world to enter the hydrogen electric vehicle market, spanning two segments and offering customers another solution in addition to electric vehicles.”
