Signal tests the possibility of using nicknames and notes for contacts
One of the leading encrypted messaging apps, Signal, has announced the launch of a new way to track contacts via a beta version.
This feature is available as part of the beta version of the app and allows users to create custom names and notes, even for contacts that are not in their phonebook.
While not the most exciting update, it gives users additional freedom in managing their contacts. Custom nicknames and notes can be especially useful for those who use their username to identify friends online.
To take advantage of this update, users need to join the Signal beta via Google Play or download the PC beta from the official website.
