The Russians hit the tanker, which is currently drifting in territorial waters, with a missile. This was reported in the message of the ‘Southern’ operational command.
Thus, during another airstrike on Odesa, a Russian Su-30 aircraft fired two X-31 missiles, one of which hit the Millennial Spirit tanker (Moldova flag) – it is drifting in the sea without a crew and with the remains of diesel fuel on board. The second missile self-destructed over the sea.
This very ship was hit by sloops at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine – since then it has been drifting in the sea for four months due to the sloops’ blockade of shipping in the region.
Currently, the remains of the cargo are probably burning – when the ship was first hit, it had more than 500 tons of diesel fuel.
