A queue of customer countries lined up behind Bayraktar drones
The government of Bangladesh has placed an order for Bayraktar TB2 drones. Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Osman Tufan told Prothom Alo journalists about this.
According to the diplomat, he has no right to disclose the details of the agreement. At the same time, he confirmed that Bangladesh had indeed ordered a batch of drones from Baykar Tech.
It became known in 2021 that the Bangladeshi authorities are considering the possibility of purchasing Turkish military drones. Ambassador Mosud Mannan, who works in Turkey, told Anadolu journalists about this. The head of the diplomatic service then noted that the Bangladesh Armed Forces already have Turkish anti-missile defense systems, mine protection vehicles and armored vehicles.
Baykar Tech does not consider it necessary to hide the fact that thanks to the successful use of Bayraktar TB2 in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, a queue of customer countries literally lined up behind them.
According to the head of the Istanbul firm Selcuk Bayraktar, the whole world saw that unmanned technologies play one of the leading roles in modern wars. Baykar’s production capacity allows for the assembly of about 200 Bayraktar TB2 drones every year. During the next few months, they will work exclusively for the benefit of Ukraine.
