The Verkhovna Rada voted to create a fund to eliminate the consequences of armed aggression. People’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this.
251 People’s Deputies voted for the draft Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022” regarding the creation of a fund to eliminate the consequences of armed aggression.
The source of filling the fund will be nationalized funds and the sale of nationalized property.
All money from nationalization is proposed to be directed to a special fund, and then used with the agreement of the VRU committee in the following directions:
- construction of public buildings – restriction of relevant objects to those that were destroyed or damaged as a result of armed aggression of the Russian Federation;
- reconstruction, overhaul of critical infrastructure facilities related to the provision of water supply, drainage, heat supply services (additions regarding the construction of such facilities and regarding facilities related to the provision of electricity and gas supply services, as well as restrictions on the relevant facilities objects that were destroyed or damaged as a result of armed aggression);
- reconstruction, overhaul of buildings to provide housing for internally displaced persons and people who lost it as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;
- development of design (design and estimate) documentation for objects that were destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;
acquisition of residential premises for citizens of Ukraine, corresponding objects of real estate, the construction objects of which were destroyed as a result of hostilities, acts of terrorism, sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation; - purchase of computer and multimedia equipment (which was destroyed, damaged or stolen) for educational institutions located in the territories affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;
- restoration of power supply and lighting as a result of Russian aggression;
- restoration of gas supply.
