Ukrainians are actively opening businesses in Poland – almost 10,000 enterprises have been founded since the beginning of the war
This is reported by Business Insider.

“The number of new companies founded by Ukrainians is increasing, and this is a sharp increase. In January, there were 188 of them, and in September, as many as 2,273. The data for September are crucial, because they show that the trend continues. It can be assumed that if someone remained in Poland until September, then he sent his children to school here, then this is an important decision regarding the home,” explains Katarzyna Dembkowska, head of the economic forecasting group of the Polish Institute of Economics.

According to the Polish Economic Institute, Ukrainians registered 8.5% of enterprises in Poland in September, and their share for the year reached 5%. Almost every tenth company founded in the previous month was founded by citizens of Ukraine.

Since March 1, 9,829 Ukrainian companies have opened, since the beginning of the year – 10,207. 41% of these enterprises were founded by Ukrainian women.

Experts conclude that more and more Ukrainians plan to live in Poland for a long time. Ukrainians fit perfectly into sectors where there is a shortage of workers: construction, IT, logistics.

On October 19, Poland received 147 million euros from the EU to help Ukrainian refugees. According to the data of the Polish border service, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 7.11 million Ukrainians have entered Poland, and 5.32 million have returned. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, 1.3-1.5 million Ukrainian refugees are currently in the country.
