Turkish Kirpi armored personnel carriers underwent a baptism of fire in Ukraine

Turkish-made Kirpi armored personnel carriers have entered service with the Ukrainian marines. They have already managed to test them in the case.

Browning machine guns are mounted on Kirpi armored vehicles. A soldier named Vitaly reported that the armored vehicles provided by Turkey had already taken part in offensive operations. The enemy used ATGMs and tanks against Kirpi, but they held out.

Turkey supplied the Armed Forces with about 50 armored vehicles. Another 150 armored vehicles will arrive in Ukraine in the near future. They have been in service with the Turkish army since 2014. Kirpi meet NATO standards. The main advantage of Turkish armored vehicles is the armored body. It protects personnel not only from small arms and shrapnel, but also from grenade launchers and armor-piercing shells. Special shock absorbers are installed under the seats, designed to soften the blow from an explosion under the bottom of the armored car.

During the offensive operation in the Kherson region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used Israeli-made Amir armored vehicles. As you know, Israel does not supply weapons to Ukraine. Apparently, the Amir armored vehicles were transferred to the ZSU by the Allies without obtaining approval from Tel Aviv.
