The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed on video M1126 Stryker ICV and M1132 Stryker ESV armored vehicles with LWMR mine trawls
Members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to master American Stryker armored personnel carriers. A video of the training was published by Yuriy Mysyagin, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
The video was recorded in one of the Ukrainian forests. The video shows two armored vehicles. The first one in the frame is an M1132 Stryker ESV equipped with LWMR (Light Weight Mine Roller) mine trawls. Following it is the M1126 Stryker ICV.
In mid-January 2023, the United States officially announced the transfer of 90 Stryker armored vehicles and 20 mine trawlers to Ukraine. In terms of equipment, the $2.5 billion package also included Avenger anti-aircraft missile systems, MRAPs, M2A2 Bradley and HMMWVs.
The M1126 Stryker ICV (pictured below) is a standard armored personnel carrier model used for crew transportation. It is equipped with an M2 Browning heavy machine gun or a Mk 19 grenade launcher.
The M1132 Stryker ESV (pictured in the first photo) is an engineering vehicle. This model is used to clear obstacles. In our case, it is used for mine clearance. The armament is the same as that of the M1126 ICV.
