A virtual assistant called Nadiia may appear in Diia

While some countries are thinking about banning ChatGPT, Ukraine is going to add artificial intelligence to public services, including Diia. The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is working on a virtual assistant with the working name Nadiia. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov at the Forbes conference “Superhumans”.

“We are working on a virtual assistant called Nadiia, which may or may not appear in Diia. This is a working title,” the minister said.

The Ministry plans to automate as much as possible and make the answer to any user’s question clear. To do this, the team is communicating with OpenAI.

“For example, you say: “Nadiia, find the ASC near me, which is located in such and such a district, in such and such a city, and tell me what services I can get.” And you are given a human language answer in the most personalized way possible, where you can find this ASC, and so on,” Fedorov said.

He noted that it is not only about Diia services, but in general about any answer to a question related to public services.

He believes that this will allow the contact center employees to work in other areas, and users will be able to quickly get quality information “without any human error.” Fedorov also assured that personal data will not be used.

The minister also drew attention to the next project, Citizens’ Voice. It is needed to scan everything that happens on social media in real time.

“What people are talking about, what problems they have, where the services are bad, what they are complaining about. At the same time, analyze all citizens’ appeals to contact centers and display the issues with dashboards with key topics to officials and ministers.”

Through Nadiia, it will be possible to record a voice message about what is annoying and what needs to be changed. “We want to collect feedback in real time and recognize not just text, but speech.”

Earlier, Fedorov said that Ukraine has more AI specialists than any other country.
