Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive new Stryker and Bradley to replace those lost in battle

The U.S. Defense Department is preparing additional Stryker and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles for transfer to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by journalist Carla Babb of the Voice of America.

According to her, the additional armored vehicles will be included in the USD 325 million aid package. The same package will include missile shells for the M142 HIMARS, as well as ammunition for the NASAMS SAMS.

In total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces expect to receive more than 100 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles from the Pentagon. The first batch of armored vehicles was shipped to Ukraine at the beginning of the year. The Ukrainian military has received the latest version of the M2A2 ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicle.

Kyiv also expects to receive 90 Stryker armored vehicles with 20 mine trawls. The capacity of the armored personnel carrier’s airborne compartment is 9 people. The armored vehicle is characterized by high cross-country ability and speed of movement. Stryker is capable of qualitatively increasing the mobility of airborne vehicles. Mine trawls will be used by the Ukrainian military to break through mined enemy lines.
