Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate Swedish infantry fighting vehicles CV90 with 40-mm Bofors L70 gun
We have repeatedly written that Ukraine has received Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shown them in photographs.
Pictures of the BMP appeared on social media. The images show the combat vehicle in the latest CV9040C modification with a 40mm Bofors L70 cannon and additional armor. The CV9040C also boasts an improved surveillance and air conditioning system. In total, the Armed Forces should have about 50 such combat vehicles in service.
The CV90 is a Swedish infantry fighting vehicle developed in 1984 by Hägglunds (owned by British BAE Systems) at the request of the Swedish Army. Production of the machine began in 1993. Since then, about 1170 BMPs have been produced in various modifications. By the way, it has recently become known that Ukraine wants to purchase 1,000 of these infantry fighting vehicles in the future.
