How the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy the Russian army with a rather rare trophy (video)
Ukrainian military uses a trophy D-20 to send 152-mm “gifts” to the occupiers
Ukraine’s Defense Forces have hundreds of trophy weapons from the Russian occupation army and are actively using them on the battlefield. In one of the articles by ArmyInform, our military describes how they are destroying the enemy with a trophy 152-mm D-20 howitzer.
The commander with the call sign “Barman” tells us more about the operation of the trophy weapon. A trophy howitzer gun is operating in the south, in the Kherson sector. “It was a productive week – three trains with BCs and a concentration of enemy personnel, so the mood in the unit is high,” Barman says about the work of D-20.
In general, the targets for this howitzer are both the enemy’s armored and automotive vehicles, as well as dugouts and manpower of the Russian occupation forces, the gun commander said.
However, in the context of this news, it is worth noting that the Russian D-20 howitzer is actually both a rather rare target and a rare trophy, according to the Oryx portal.
Because since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the occupiers have lost a total of 13 of their 152-mm D-20 howitzers, 11 of which have been destroyed or damaged.
And accordingly, according to open source data used by Oryx, as of today, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have only two trophy D-20s at their disposal.

As noted, both were taken as a trophy in the fall of 2022 – one in September and another in October.
