Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian tanks with accurate shots from western ATGMs

At the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the NLAW and Javelin anti-tank missile systems became an important weapon for the Ukrainian Defense Forces against Russian armored vehicles, especially enemy tanks.

Today, these ATGMs remain an effective way to scrap tanks and other weapons of the racists – the soldiers from the 3rd company of the anti-tank battalion of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrate accurate shots from these weapons.

For example, the brigade’s fighters hit a Russian T-80 tank with shots from two anti-tank missile systems in a row, NLAW and Javelin.

As noted, the Russian T-80 was destroyed on the outskirts of Bakhmut, where heavy fighting with the Russian occupation forces is currently underway.

In particular, commenting on the destruction of an enemy tank, the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are advancing in the Bakhmut direction and have regained previously occupied territories.

And despite the enemy’s superiority in both manpower and equipment, the Ukrainian military continue to hold the initiative in this area and, as noted by the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Serhiy Cherevaty, over the past day they have advanced more than 1 km.

In general, as Oleksiy Hromov, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said earlier, fierce fighting with the Russian occupation forces continues along a line of more than 1,200 kilometers, with the Ukrainian Defense Forces having the most success in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, where the advance is up to 7.5 kilometers.
