25 drones per night: Crimea suffered a massive drone attack – Russian Defense Ministry (photos, video)
The Russian invaders claimed that 9 drones stopped working as a result of electronic warfare, and another 16 were shot down by air defense forces.
The temporarily occupied Crimea was allegedly attacked by 25 drones. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram on July 30.
According to the ministry, 16 drones were shot down by air defense systems. Another 9 stopped working as a result of electronic warfare activities.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the drones did not reach their target because they crashed in the Black Sea near Cape Tarkhankut, but no evidence was made public. There seem to be no casualties or infrastructure damage.
Local residents are discussing the troubled situation on the peninsula on social media. The Crimean Wind Telegram channel published a photo, according to eyewitnesses, of the alleged operation of Russian air defense.
Ukraine’s military leadership has not yet commented on these reports.
A blow to the Chongar bridge
On July 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Chongar Bridge. In this way, the enemy’s logistics on the left bank of the Kherson region continue to be destroyed.
Natalia Gumenyuk, spokeswoman for the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command “South,” said that the strikes are aimed at reducing the capacity of the bridge and nearby transportation routes. On the left bank, the enemy is experiencing a significant shortage of shells and equipment due to our combat operations. The Russian occupation units are looking for new detour routes to supply their troops with ammunition, equipment and resupply.
“That’s why the work was done in a filigree, precise, accurate manner,” she explained.
Explosions in Kozacha Bay and destruction of the BC warehouse
An ammunition depot of the Russian occupiers exploded on the territory of the peninsula. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the information on July 29. After the explosion, several ambulances rushed to the scene in Kozacha Bay, and local residents heard the detonation of ammunition. The explosion occurred late in the evening on July 28 in the Kozacha Bay area.
According to Radio Liberty, the military camp of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade in Sevastopol is located near the bay. This location houses barracks for personnel, a parade ground and control rooms. There is a military warehouse nearby. The occupation unit took part in the seizure of Crimea in 2014 and is now involved in Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
