Bayraktar TB-2 drone receives air defense protection (video)
Specialists from the Turkish company Aselsan have developed an electronic warfare module for drones. It was presented at the IDEF-23 defense exhibition held recently in Istanbul.
The EH POD module made its debut at the exhibition event in two versions designed for Acinci and Bayraktar TB-2 drones. It is designed to detect, record and analyze radar data. The module is capable of simultaneously jamming multiple air targets.
The developers claim that EH POD is capable of rendering enemy air defense systems useless. The module can also be used to jam enemy drones that attack the drone. The product was tested by Aselsan engineers with several air defense systems. In all cases, EH POD has proven to be effective.
The weight of the EW module is 40 kg. It was originally developed for the Acinci attack drone. The 11 kg MINI EH POD version is designed for the Bayraktar TB-2 drone.
