“The Russian fleet will flee to the Caspian Sea”: Ukrainians create a new underwater drone “Marichka” (video)

The developers plan that this naval drone will be able to blow up ships, bridge pylons, and coastal fortifications of the occupiers.

The AMMO UKRAINE platform is going to create a Marichka underwater drone that will be able to destroy the occupiers’ fleet. The developers shared the details in a post on the social network TikTok.

Representatives of AMMO UKRAINE claim that the platform has brought together Ukrainian scientists, analysts, specialists, and military experts. They set themselves the goal of creating a national project called the Army of Underwater Drones, which will be based on Marichka drones.

According to the project engineers, the Marichka will have unique capabilities, including the destruction of all types of surface objects: boats, ships, bridge pylons, and coastal fortifications. The main advantages of the future maritime drone in AMMO UKRAINE are the low noise level and invisibility of the Marichka, the ability to withstand enemy electronic warfare systems and the capacity of the ammunition to blow up ships of the Russian fleet.

“We are confident that after the first attack of the Marichka, the occupiers’ fleet will leave the Black and Azov Seas and head for the Caspian Sea,” the authors of the project state.

Currently, they are financing their development at their own expense and for donations, and they are also supported by the popular music band “Guys from Franek”, who will auction off a flag signed by the head of the DIU Kirill Budanov. The proceeds from the auction will be used for the further development of Marichka.

The exact specifications of the future marine drone are being kept secret. But apparently, the maritime drone will have electric propulsion, as the developers have already purchased a large batch of batteries. They also claim that the Marichka will be able to “hide” underwater while waiting for a target and activate either by timer or operator signal.

Earlier, it became known how Ukrainian kamikaze drones could have attacked the Russian fleet in Novorossiysk. Military analyst Mikhail Zhirokhov believes that Novorossiysk is a very “bright target” for the Ukrainian army, but it is very difficult to hit it. He believes that the maritime drones were launched either from the Sea of Azov or by agents of the Russian GUR on the territory of Russia.
