Russia reports a new UAV attack on Moscow: powerful explosions heard in Domodedovo (video)

On the night of Wednesday, August 9, explosions were heard again near the capital of the aggressor country, Moscow. Local authorities reported a new attack by unidentified drones.

For example, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the operation of air defense in the Domodedovo and Minsk highway areas. Both UAVs were allegedly shot down.

“There is currently no information about the victims of the falling debris. Emergency services are working at the scene,” Sobyanin wrote.

Footage was posted online showing flashes in the sky and a loud explosion.

RosSIA reports that combat drones entered Moscow simultaneously from two directions: from the southwest and from the south. The first was allegedly shot down by air defense in the Odintsovo district, and the second in the Domodedovo district 16 minutes apart. The approximate distance between the points of “destruction” of drones is 55 kilometers in a straight line.

Russians wrote that the “cotton” in Domodedovo, where the Moscow airport is located, was very loud.

The first commentary from the Russian Defense Ministry on the attack on Moscow has been released. They said there were no casualties or damage, and traditionally blamed Ukraine for everything.

“Last night, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack with unmanned aerial vehicles was prevented over the territory of the Moscow region. Two UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems,” the statement said.
