Ukrainian Armed Forces start using AK-74 assault rifles in BS-4 “body kit” from Black Storm
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are armed with AK-74 rifles, modernized to the Bullpup configuration with the help of the BS-4 kit manufactured by Black Storm. It allows you to adapt iconic weapons for use in limited conditions.
In a report published by Army Recognition, it is noted that the BS-4 kit makes it possible to shorten the length of the assault rifle. The magazine and firing mechanism are located behind the AK-74 handle. The shorter “barrel” allows Ukrainian soldiers to maneuver more effectively in buildings, trenches and other confined spaces.
The modernized machine can be reloaded with either hand. The BS-4 kit increases the accessibility of the magazine release button and safety lever. The AK-74 in the “weighted” version allows the soldiers to move quickly in confined spaces, quickly change hands to fire and safely remove the safety lever (without snagging).
