Russian nighttime missile attack: arrivals in several cities, casualties
On the night of Tuesday, August 15, Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine.
At least four cities are known to have been hit.
Residential buildings hit in Lviv, kindergarten destroyed
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that residential buildings were hit. “There is a fire on the upper floors. We are evacuating people. All services are in place,” he wrote on Telegram.
The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (LRMA), Maksym Kozytskyi, said that the debris from the downed missiles fell on apartment buildings.
According to Sadovyi, a Russian missile hit the yard of the kindergarten, destroying its building. More than 100 houses were damaged, more than 500 windows were smashed, and the ceiling of one of the hypermarkets collapsed.
Four people are receiving medical care and their lives are not in danger.
In addition, there are damaged houses in the settlements of Stavchany and Sukhovolya.
In Lutsk, an industrial enterprise was hit, three people were killed
In Lutsk, Russian troops hit one of the industrial enterprises, the mayor of the city, Ihor Polishchuk, said.
Yuriy Pogulyayko, head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, reports three dead. “Several more victims are in hospital,” he wrote.
An industrial enterprise was hit in Dnipro, there are wounded
Russians also attacked an industrial enterprise in Dnipro. Two people were injured: A 59-year-old woman received light injuries, and a 70-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition.
In addition, Russian missiles damaged a sports facility in the city.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, seven X-101/555 cruise missiles were shot down over the region.
A private enterprise and a medical facility were hit in Cherkasy region
In Smila, Cherkasy region, one rocket hit the territory of a private enterprise, and another hit the territory of a medical facility.
According to Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, water and heat supply networks were damaged, leaving part of Smila without water.
There were no casualties.
