Video of an epic UAV strike on Russian “Meteorite” appears
Since February 2022, the occupiers have lost at least 30 of their UR-77 Meteorite demining vehicles, which the enemy also uses to strike civilian targets
The Ukrainian military destroyed another Russian self-propelled demining system UR-77 Meteorit, also known as Snake Gorynych, on the battlefield – footage of the Russian vehicle being destroyed by soldiers of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade has been posted online.
As noted, the Russian UR-77 was destroyed near the town of Maryinka in Donetsk region – our military probably finished off the vehicle abandoned by the occupiers with grenades dropped from a drone.
When the first grenade hit the car, a powerful and spectacular explosion occurred, suggesting that the Russians had not left their “Zmei Gorynych” empty.
This episode demonstrates once again how dangerous it is to be near such machines while they are working, when just one hit from a drone can destroy everything near the machine along with it.
And, accordingly, how difficult it was for our military to overcome the Russian minefields even with the American M58 MICLIC systems, because, as our soldiers previously told Radio Liberty, the occupiers are trying to destroy such machines in the first place, while these systems operate almost close to the front line.
#Ukraine: At the end of the Summer the United States announced the delivery of “Mine clearing equipment and systems” to Ukraine.
Now we can finally take a look at what was provided – a Ukrainian M113A3 was recently spotted towing an American M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC). pic.twitter.com/QhNpRO4uIH

Returning to the Russian UR-77 Meteorite, according to Oryx, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the occupiers have lost at least 30 of these vehicles, 17 of which were taken by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as trophies.
At the same time, it is also worth recalling that the occupiers use their UR-77s not only for their intended purpose, but also to strike civilian targets in the frontline zone.
