Bryansk plant at gunpoint: drones attacked a key manufacturer of components for Iskanders and Pantsirs

Russia’s Kremniy EL plant in Bryansk, which was attacked by unidentified UAVs on the night of August 30, produces parts for Pantsyr air defense systems and Iskander missile systems. It is one of the largest microelectronics manufacturers in the aggressor country of Russia.

According to media reports, Russian air defense allegedly shot down drones in the area of the plant. A fire broke out at the crash site.

In 2017, this company produced 94% of its products for the needs of the aggressor country’s Ministry of Defense.

The Vazhnye Istori Telegram channel writes that the plant serves the Almaz-Antey, Aerospace Equipment, Suzirya, and Vega concerns.

On the morning of August 30, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, responded to the explosions. He claims that three airplane-type drones were shot down over the city.

“There are no casualties. Operational and emergency services are working,” the Russian official wrote on Telegram. He assures that the attack by “Ukrainian terrorists” was allegedly “stopped.”

We would like to add that in the morning there was another explosion in Bryansk in the Soviet district, where Kremlin EL is located. However, the city administration claims that the “cotton” visited a different facility – the building of the Investigative Committee. In fact, it is a neighbor of the Silicon EL plant.

The authorities reported a “pop” that occurred at 6:10 a.m. at Chervonoarmiyska Street. 158 “Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Bryansk Region”. They say that windows were smashed in the building, but there are allegedly no injuries.

“As a result of the drone crash, the roof and glazing of the administrative building were partially damaged. There is a fire. Operational and emergency services are working at the scene,” the statement said.

By the way, the Bryansk administration deleted this post a few hours later, instead reporting that the windows of the SC were damaged “as a result of the destruction of a UAV.”
