Ukrainian starred as a Jedi in the Star Wars series Ahsoka

Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno has landed a role in the series Star Wars: Ahsoka” series from Disney Plus. The 24-year-old Hollywood star will play a new character created for this project, a sequel to the famous movie saga.

Sahno will appear in the series alongside such actors as Rosario Dawson (who will play Ahsoka Tano), Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who was recently announced as the character of “Star Wars: Rebels” character Sabine Wren, as well as Hayden Christensen, who will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Details about Sakhno’s role are still being kept secret.

The upcoming series “Ahsoka” about Jedi Ahsoka Tano will continue the Star Wars movie universe as another project from Disney Plus.

Along with the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian, the streamer is also currently working on a series about Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor, Star Wars: Andor” about the rebel Cassian Andor starring Diego Luna and “The Novice” from creator Leslie Headland.

The series Star Wars: Ahsoka” was first announced in December 2020. Production of the new series is currently scheduled to begin in early 2022.

Ivanna Sakhno was born in Kyiv to director Halyna Kuvivchak-Sakhno and cameraman Anatoliy Sakhno. At the age of 15, she moved to Los Angeles with her parents. In the United States, the young Ukrainian began to conquer Hollywood.

Sakhno is known for her roles in such films as the blockbuster Pacific Rim: Uprising, comedy action film The Spy Who Dumped Me, thriller Peaky Blinders, Ukrainian biopic Ivan Syla, and sitcom Lesya + Roma.

She has also recently appeared in several episodes of the American romantic comedy series High Fidelity (Hulu) alongside Zoe Kravitz.
