A factory producing ship radars burned down in Moscow

The fire occurred in a production building located at 16 Budyonny Avenue, building Bldg. 2. This was reported to RBK by the capital’s Emergency Situations Ministry.

“Firefighters arrived at the scene at 9:06 a.m. By 9:20 a.m., the fire was extinguished,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The area of the fire was 10 square meters. m, the cause of the fire is being established. There were no reports of injuries, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

Local media report that the plant’s laboratory, which stored flammable sodium, burned down. In this regard, people were evacuated from the building.

It should be noted that the Salyut plant specializes in the production of ship radars and has been under US sanctions since 2022.
