TikTok marketplace may start working in Ukraine after the US
This week, the US officially launched the TikTok marketplace. ByteDance, the company that owns the video platform, monetizes it in all possible ways.
The TikTok app has several new features related to online shopping. ByteDance expects to repeat the success of Chinese online retailer Shein. Video content creators can link videos published on the platform to specific products in the store. TikTok’s audience in the US is estimated at 150 million people. All of them are potential buyers.
The TikTok shopping service is integrated with popular platforms such as Salesforce, Shopify, etc. Its testing in the US was launched by a Chinese company in November last year. It is currently available to video platform users from Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and the UK. It is possible that TikTok’s marketplace will soon be launched in European countries, including Ukraine.
