Explosions in Melitopol: Ukrainian Armed Forces struck at the occupants’ headquarters – StratCom (video)

After a series of explosions, thick dark smoke rose into the sky. Ukrainian soldiers successfully attacked the enemy in the temporarily occupied Melitopol.

On the morning of September 19, at about 07:00, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the headquarters of the Russian Federation Armed Forces in the area of the temporarily occupied Melitopol. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the headquarters of the occupiers near the temporarily occupied Melitopol,” the statement said.

Ukrainian soldiers posted a video showing smoke rising after the shelling. Then a series of loud explosions are heard, after which the smoke becomes darker and thicker. In addition, they showed how an aerial target launched from the sky whistled and “loudly” hit the occupiers’ headquarters.

Explosions in Melitopol

On the morning of September 19, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. The local telegram channel RIA-Melitopol reported an “arrival” in the southwestern part of the city. In addition, Melitopol residents observed gray smoke from the airfield. After the explosions in Melitopol, the enemy began to move heavy equipment.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, there were more than five explosions in the city, and Russian air defense was not able to keep up.

The occupation administration of the city confirmed the explosions. According to their information, Russian air defense shot down missiles, the fragments of which caused a fire in the plant’s idle shop, and some of the debris fell into a field where vegetation caught fire. There were no casualties, while Russian air defense allegedly managed to destroy four missiles over Melitopol.

On September 18, an explosion occurred in the center of temporarily occupied Donetsk. In particular, the building that housed the occupation administration was damaged. Social media reported two victims.
