Attack on Wagner-backed militants in Sudan: Ukrainian intelligence services may be behind it – CNN (photo)

Ukrainian special services have allegedly attacked the Rapid Response Force (RSF) group in Sudan. He is supported by the Wagner PMC

This was reported by CNN, citing its own sources.

According to the journalists’ Ukrainian interlocutor from military circles, drone strikes on RSF fighters are “the work of the non-Sudanese military.”

Asked whether Ukraine was behind the attacks, he said that “Ukrainian special services are probably responsible for this.”

This refers to a series of strikes on the RFS, which, according to CNN, is receiving assistance from the Wagner Group in its fight against the Sudanese army for control of the country.

The channel was unable to confirm Ukraine’s involvement in the series of strikes, but the video of the attacks shows “distinctive features of Ukrainian-style drone attacks.”

“Two commercially available drones, widely used by Ukrainians, were involved in at least eight strikes, with Ukrainian text visible on the drone’s controller,” the article says.

The video from the drone controller’s monitor shows text in English and Ukrainian, including the word “Stop.”

Experts also said that the tactics used, namely the scheme of diving drones directly at the target, was very unusual for Sudan.

At the same time, a high-ranking Sudanese military source said that he “did not know about the Ukrainian operation in Sudan” and did not believe in it.
