What is known about the Grom-E1 missile
“The Grom-E1 is a Russian newest development based on the X-38 missile, which was adopted in 2013. In fact, this is an attempt by the Russians to turn their FAB bombs into “high-yield weapons.” The first demonstration of the missile took place in 2015, and in 2019, Russia announced that the tests of Grom-E1 and Grom-E2 were completed.
“The Grom-E1 is a hybrid of a planning bomb and a missile that opens its wings in midair, which provides range and accuracy. The Russians themselves call the Grom-E1 an airborne guided missile.
