“We missed the SBU drone”. Kasta radar station destroyed in Kursk region (photo)

The Russian radar station Kasta was destroyed by a Ukrainian drone of the Security Service of Ukraine near the village of Gorye in the Belovsk district of Kursk region.

This was reported by sources of various Ukrainian media in the SBU.

The combat episode took place on September 28.

Because of this firepower, “Russian air defense was slightly blinded,” the source said.

“The Russians said that it could even detect aircraft with stealth technology. But for some reason, the SBU missed the drone,” he said.

“Kasta-2E2” (39N6) is a Russian mobile three-coordinate radar station of decimeter range all-round view for airspace control, determination of coordinates and recognition of air targets, including at extremely low altitudes, their track characteristics and delivery of their coordinates and movement parameters to the control systems of air defense, air force and military air defense. The accuracy of the fighter’s flight altitude is 900 meters.
