Britain imposes new sanctions against Russia for “elections” in the so-called territories of Ukraine
In particular, the following persons were sanctioned: the Central Executive Committee of the Russian Federation, the Secretary of the Central Executive Committee, the head of the occupation regional state administration and the head of the election commission
The UK government has imposed new sanctions against Russia for holding elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine by a terrorist country. We are talking about Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea.
This is stated in a press release published on the government’s website.
The new sanctions list includes 11 individuals and legal entities, including the following:
- the central election commission of the russian federation;
- natalia budarina, secretary of the russian civic committee;
- “the head of the election commission of Kherson region” Marina Zakharova;
- “the head of the election commission of Zaporizhzhya region” Andriy Aleksiyenko.
It is noted that in total, the UK has imposed sanctions against 1600 individuals and legal entities in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
