Pyongyang denies: Israeli soldiers seize DPRK weapons from Hamas terrorists (photo)
The Israeli Defense Forces found weapons, probably of North Korean origin, in the possession of Hamas terrorists.
This is reported by the American publication NK News, which reports on news from North Korea, as well as the IDF press service.
In photos published on October 11 on the IDF press service’s social media page, soldiers point to a number of rocket shells, at least one of which may have been produced in North Korea.
Similar photos were also published by the military correspondent of the Israeli news agency Ynet.
“North Korea produces a wide range of rocket-propelled grenades for the RPG-7,” said Just Olimans, author of North Korea’s Armed Forces and a regular contributor to NK Pro, noting that its F-7 variant can be found in several Middle Eastern countries with “former ties to the DPRK.”
“Exported missiles are often spotted with a distinctive red stripe marking the warhead,” he said, pointing to its presence in photos published by an IDF spokesman and a YNet journalist.
North Korea has traditionally denied these allegations, calling them “Western lies.”
